Just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed In His Father’s Footsteps. I think it is my favorite of all the ones so far. So beautifully written with
heart and soul. I found it so hard to stop reading. God Bless you Danielle. Thank you for
    all your wonderful stories.

    Hi Danielle,

Thank you for sharing this interview — I really enjoyed it! You mentioned that Child’s Play would resonate with your readers. It certainly resonated with me! Like Kate, I am a 54 yr. old mother of 3 children (although mine are boy, girl, boy). Some of the issues you address are so familiar to me (made me laugh). As a parent one does want health, happiness, and a “perfect” life for one’s children. But they surprise us at every turn.

    Regards, Elaine

    Hi!

Family Album was the very first book in which I was introduced to a LGBT relationship. You were *definitely* way ahead of your time when you wrote about Lionel, the gay character, wearing a gold ring on his wedding finger, which Faye noticed at a family event but didn’t comment on. It was through your books that I came to accept and love LGBTQ people and view them as multi-faceted human beings, with their sexual orientation only a small part of who they are. I have several LGBT friends, and they’ve definitely made life so much more interesting.
