Dear Danielle; I just finshed A Good Woman and, as always, enjoyed it…couldn’t put it down till the last satisfied sigh.

Valentine’s Day…my wedding annversary for amost 56 years. This recent one was rather dreary as my beloved Robert went to be with the Lord last September 14th at 96 after enduring Alzheimers for eight years. I was his caregiver. The day before he died he looked into my eyes, smiled, and said, “I love you….you’re so pretty…..thankyou.” How merciful and comforing of God to give me such a wonderful reward and loving memory!

The first of your novels I ever read was Fine Things, which I loved, and later bought the movie. Today I discovered one I have not read in a used bookstore and am looing forward to diving into it very soon. I love the way you weave your romantic novels around periods of history,adding the benefit of eduational information, and have deep admiration for the amount of research you must do to accomplish this.

Needess to say, I am a fan,

Thank you for this post about St.Valentine’s. And of course thank you for all your books. Today it’s my 25th birthday and little more than 2 week ago (of course before Saint Valentine’s Day!!!) my boyfriend broke up with me. He wanted marry me this July. And I was waiting for his official propose to me. He was already presented me silver Tiffany ring as a first step to our future (as he said). And 5 monthes later, on the 5th of February I waked up by his SMS. It said that he never could tell this to me looking in my eyes, but he wanted to break up with me. He wrote that he have no more feelings. And all this happened to me before Saint Valentine’s and my B-day. So when I read your “Saint Valentine’s…”, I smiled & I believe that everything will be ok with me. After break up I had a little trip to Europe and I took your books with me “H.R.H.” and “Bungalow 2″. I’m really addicted to your books and always read them in English (I’m from Moscow, Russia and I prefer original versions of your books to russian translated editions). Your novels touched me a lot. And I like Mariage Freres Vanila tea and Paris. So when I started to read “Honor Thyself” I smile as the main heroin loves this tea too. So thank you a lot, because no matter what I believe in happy endings now…and as you wrote at “H.R.H.”:”All hearts get broken at some point, in the end it makes us stronger”.

Recently just finished “A Day At A Time”, “A Good Woman” and the story of your beloved Nick. I was very interested in this personal website of yours and found your comments interesting regarding your personal life. I wish you the very best and hope you find your soulmate in the very near future. I think you are a immensely talented writer and it amazes me how you come up with all these stories and with so many children!! The story of Nick was a peak into your life and I could not believe how much you went through-I know it has made you strong. Thanks again for your wonderful work! I enjoyed this column, and discovered your son
Maxx, shares the same birthday as my oldest
daughter. She just turned 30. Valentine’s Day,
1980, was the best valentine’s day I ever had,
as I brought my first baby home from the hospital that day after her birth on Feb. 10.

I’m from Hungary and I can’t speak English very good, but I say: My Mother and Me love your books. I read one of your books now: Amazing Grace. But my favourite books are Silent Honor, Echoes, Massage From Nam, Wings and The Gift. These books were very good under my history studies, however I’m just fourteen years old. Uhh… I don’t know that what do you mean about my long letter, but I’m sorry, beacause I waste your time.
So I love your creations and I’ll read these everytime. I’d like to be a writer and I hope I didn’t waste your time.
